RUMORS THAT FORECLOSURES MAY BE DELAYED

With 2.8 million foreclosures during 2009 and 4.5 million foreclosures expected for 2010, the Obama administration is considering changes in the HAMP program that would prohibit lenders from filing for foreclosure before the borrower is screened by HAMP and would stop an existing foreclosure action once the borrower is in a trial repayment plan. This plan is only being considered, it is not final. We will update this post as further information becomes available.
